WE BUY SURPLUS WIRE ALONG THE WASATCH FRONT

Most of Utah's electrical material moves through the corridor from Ogden to Provo, and most of the surplus ends up in a warehouse aisle or a corner of the yard.

Local picture

The Wasatch Front concentrates nearly every kind of electrical work Utah has: commercial tenant improvements in downtown Salt Lake City, data center construction in Lehi and Draper, warehouse and distribution build-outs in West Valley City and West Jordan, hospital and university work in Murray and Provo, and heavy industrial maintenance in Ogden and North Salt Lake. Each of those projects produces the same thing at the end — reels that were ordered for a full job and were not fully used.

We buy that material from contractors, distributors and facility managers along the whole corridor. A partial reel of 4/0 XHHW in a Sandy electrical contractor's yard is the same conversation as twelve reels of tray cable in a West Jordan warehouse: tell us the size, the footage and the tag, and we can price it.

Because the corridor is dense, pickup logistics are usually simple. Most sites have a dock or a forklift, freight lanes run north and south on I-15 all day, and a same-week pickup is realistic for material that is ready to load.

What we see here

Common surplus in Wasatch Front

  • Tenant improvement leftovers: MC cable coils, #12 and #10 THHN, data cable boxes
  • Data center and technology campus surplus: tray cable, VFD cable, grounding conductor
  • Warehouse and distribution center overstock: building wire, SER, MC cable
  • Utility and municipal surplus: XHHW, URD, service conductor
  • Contractor yard clean-outs and job-closeout material
  • Demolition and decommissioning cable from commercial buildings

Pickup and logistics

Dock access is common along the corridor, and most industrial sites have a forklift. Tight downtown sites are the exception — if a truck cannot get to the material, tell us before pickup so we can plan a smaller vehicle or a staging area.

Cities

Wasatch Front communities we buy from

We buy surplus wire and cable from businesses in and around these cities. Coverage follows the material, not a storefront — there is no office to visit, and nothing needs to be delivered anywhere.
